Leif and I was founded in March of 2006 by Lila French, who received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She has worked as a web developer and consultant for over 10 years and now utilizes a small team of top-notch programmers and designers to efficiently produce user-friendly, attractive, unique, robust web sites and database applications.

Lila lives in Los Angeles, where she pursues acting and filmmaking. Her personal web site is lilasfrench.com. Her name is pronounced LEE-luh. The name Leif and I comes from the Saves the Day song, The Way His Collar Falls.
